I read somewhere that you can put colored plastic wrap over your flash and it will make your pictures colored. I thought, hey, I'll try it! Excuse the bad, boring candle pictures--I was in a bit of a hurry and the candle was the only white thing I could find that wouldn't move :)
This is the candle with the flash and without any color. I got a bit too close so it is blown out and slightly blurry.
Same candle with green plastic wrap over my flash! I had to double the plastic wrap because one layer didn't make a difference. Two layers definitely turned my picture green! It's the same distance as the first but even more blurry. I'm sure the flash was a bit too diffused.
Again, same candle, this time with yellow vellum paper over my flash. Not a huge difference in color but it did diffuse my flash quite a bit...
Same candle, red vellum paper over my flash. I actually wised up on this one and put my camera in macro mode to prevent blur.
Despite my pictures being a bit blurry, I'd call this Tuesday a success! I accomplished my objective of attemping to color my pictures by covering my flash! Grab your camera, try something new and link up! MckLinky will be open till Thursday at midnight.

Cool!!! I'll have to try that out. Looks like you did it just right on the last picture with the red.
I'm definitely going to have to try that! The red one is great. I'm planning to do a Try Something New Tuesday post, but I'm having difficulty coming up with inspiration today! I've been too busy modifying my blog this morning to actually do any blogging, but I'm going to try to come up with something after Paddy's therapy session this afternoon. :)
What a great trick! I look forward to more new fun stuff:)
