Black and White Wednesday

I found this super cool blog hop today and decided to join in.  It's all about trying pictures in black and white.  I took this picture of Nutty and Tottie this fall and have never really liked it.  It never really looked right to me.  It's the first picture I thought of for this blog hop.  I changed a few things, converted it to black and white, and oh, my gosh, I actually like it now!

If it weren't for this blog hop, I would have never thought to do this picture in black and white and I would have been stuck thinking something wasn't right about the picture forever.  Thanks!
To see more black and white photos hop on over to The Long Road to China.

I've always gone with the rule of if the color doesn't add anything to the photo, then go for B&W. This is a great shot for that!

They are so cute!! Isn't funny how changing a picture to black and white can actually save it?? I have had many that almost got deleted...and as a last ditch effort, they were converted to black and white!!

thanks for playing along!

So cute! I'm glad I found your blog. I'm saving it as a favorite - lots of good info to come back and read. :)

Very cute picture. You're right. Some pictures really do call out for black and white. Makes us want to go back into all the old files and start digging.

Awwwwwwwwww. Look how sweet your boys are! What a great picture. Some pictures get so busy with color! This one is just perfect! I adore it in black and white! I am so glad you found the meme and started participating!

What a great picture for B&W ... love the textures of the grass behind them. I love this challenge because I usually don't covert my pictures to B&W so this will be a learning curve for me!

This is a really cute picture! I have some that are really great in b & W, too - but I forget about that feature too often!

Great pictures! Now, how do we get that signature thing on there. Did you use photoshop to put on "mommy's photos" on the BW picture? So much to learn ;)
